The Sign Factory is an electrical sign manufacturing, installation and service corporation. Jim Risher, president, started in the business as a three year old growing up on the floor of a sign shop.
The Sign Factory, Inc. began in 1964 as Northwest Neon and Plastic of Kirkland, WA. Over the years, the Risher family purchased several sign companies, including B&B Sign Company of Missoula, MT. The consolidation of these companies formed the basic principle of The Sign Factory; build the highest quality products at a reasonable price.

In the summer of 1988 as Jim drove to the Puget Sound from Montana, he envisioned the need for a company that could design and manufacture signs from start to finish without subcontracting part of the process. The advantage of the “Turn Key” process is brand consistency and competitive pricing while working on multiple locations.
The company incorporates the capability to provide sign products throughout the US and Canada from our Kirkland, Washington facility. We offer wholesale production and project coordination on a regional and national basis. Major customers include; Macy’s, Albertson’s, Safeway, US Bank, Bank of America, Supercuts, Hairmasters, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, local architects, property managers, commercial developers and local retailers.
